William Lacey established this store location in 1949 naming it Bill Lacey Art Service. In that time the Sign Industry was ruled by the letterpress and each sign was created letter by letter. Ricardo Angulo, a Graduate of Los Angeles City College (LACC) in Associates of Art began his apprenticeship when he began working with Bill Lacey in 1978, later that year; Ricardo became owner and continued on in his name, as Lacey Art Service. Since then Lacey Art, has been an iconic name in the Hollywood, Silver Lake and Atwater Area.
